The Bentham Global Income PIE Fund (the Fund) is a PIE-compliant New Zealand-domiciled fund within the Bentham Investment Funds (Scheme). FundRock NZ Ltd is the issuer and manager of the Fund. The Fund is registered as an offer within a Managed Investment Scheme under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 and is regulated by the FMA.
FundRock NZ Ltd has appointed Bentham Asset Management Pty Ltd (Bentham) as the Fund’s investment manager. The Fund currently invests in an underlying fund (domiciled in Australia) managed by Bentham, the Bentham Global Income Fund. Bentham is a specialist global credit investment manager, with a focus on the preservation of principal and protection against downside risk.
The Fund aims to
- generate income with some potential for capital growth over the medium to long term;
- outperform its composite benchmark (50% Bloomberg AusBond Composite Bond Index hedged to the New Zealand dollar, 50% Bloomberg AusBond Bank Bill Index, hedged to the New Zealand dollar) over the suggested minimum investment timeframe.
The target investment return for the Fund is to outperform the benchmark over rolling 3-year periods whilst providing regular income. Foreign currency exposure is fully hedged to New Zealand dollars.
