Karl joined the FundRock Management Company in 2022 and has been Managing Director since July 2023. In his nearly 25 years in financial services, he has gained experience with funds from structuring to distribution. Karl worked in London from 2008 to 2019, first at BNP Paribas and from 2006 to 2015 at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in several roles, most recently as head of fund structuring and as a board member of two self-managed UCITS platforms. From 2016 to 22, he worked in fund distribution, private equity and advisory at Queens Gate Capital Advisors, a Londonbased boutique advisory firm. Karl holds a Joint Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration (Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur) from TU Darmstadt in Germany. Karl is in charge of Portfolio Management, Distribution and IMO.

Frank has been a member of the Managing Board of FundRock LRI since April 2015 and a member of the FundRock Management Committee and FundRock Board of Directors since August 2023. He is also part of the Apex Group Luxembourg Coordination Committee. Frank earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Marketing from the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Business/Real Estate from the EBS University für Wirtschaft und Recht (Germany) and is an M.B.A. General Management graduate from the Kellogg School of Management (USA) and WHU. Next to professional qualifications as an educated banker specialized in Investment Management and -Analysis, Frank is certified Real Estate Economist. During the last 25 years, Frank has been in senior management roles in the investment industry, with focus on Business and Strategic Development, Reorganisations and Turn-around Management, M&A, and Portfolio Management with a.o. ING Investment Management (Member of the Management Teams Europa & Emerging Markets), Union Investment (Managing Director und Segment Head), Robeco (Managing Director), cash.life (CEO) and was active as Senior Advisor for PE firms and in Cap Intro. Frank is Member of Honour of the Club of Finance, a round table of academic and professional experts in finance, founded in Frankfurt in 2006. Frank is in charge of Branches, Finance, HR and Client Management.

Marc-Oliver has been a member of the Managing Board of FundRock LRI since November 2022 and a member of the FundRock Management Committee since August 2023. After having studied and been trained in Germany, England and the United States, Marc-Oliver is a fully qualified German lawyer and has earned a Master’s degree in International Commercial and Business Law from the University of East Anglia in Norwich (England). During the last 15 years, Marc-Oliver has held several senior roles in the investment industry, amongst others as Managing Director and Country Head of Universal-Investment-Luxembourg S.A. and Member of the Executive Board of MainFirst Affiliated Fund Managers Luxembourg and Germany, with a focus on Legal, Structuring, Compliance and Governance as well as Business and Strategy topics. Marc-Oliver is a member of the ALFI Private Equity & Venture Capital Working Group. Marc-Oliver is in charge of Valuation, IT, NAV/TA/CA Oversight and Reporting.

Emmanuel joined FundRock in 2019. He is a member of the Managing Board since June 2024. He has a solid experience as Compliance officer with major international organizations including Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan. Previously, he was Head of Europe Compliance in the private Swiss bank Mirabaud. Emmanuel holds a business law degree from Assas-Paris II University (France) and an Executive Specialized Master in Financial and Fiscal Engineering from ESCP Europe High school. Hugues joined FundRock in 2018 and is our Risk & Compliance Director. Hugues has over 13 years of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to joining FundRock he served as Risk Manager for 7 years in a Hedge Fund in Paris (Sigmalog Capital). Additionally, he was a project manager consultant for 6 years and lead global projects for major actors on the market (BNPParibas CIB, Candriam AM, KBL Private Banking…). He holds a Master in Economics and he is a FRM Charter and Prince2 certified.

Chris joined FundRock in Luxembourg in 2017 as a Senior Client Relationship Manager, responsible for the day to day query management and coordination on behalf of clients and delegates across Asia, Europe and the US for funds in Ireland and Luxembourg. He transitioned to Director of Client Relationship Management, Client Service Management and Business Implementation in 2018, where he developed two new teams focussing on specialist client orientated BAU. In 2022, Chris was appointed Regional Head of Client Relationship Management for Apex Group in Luxembourg, where he held overall responsibility for CRM’s across all Apex Group entities operating in the Country, including FundRock, while retaining his seat as a member of FRMC’s ExCo. In 2023, Chris moved back to FundRock as Global Head of CRM – Manco and a member of the senior management team running the day to day operations of the business. Prior to joining FundRock, Chris spent 14 years working in client facing roles across different asset sectors in the UK and Luxembourg. He began his career with a Global Asset Manager in 2004, and in 2007, he moved with the firm from London to Luxembourg. In Luxembourg, he managed Client Service teams for a Nordic Private Bank and leading Alternative Asset Fund Administrators focusing on private equity and real estate investments. Chris studied Business Management & Computer Science at London Metropolitan University.

Marco joined FundRock in January 2019 where he become Head of Legal in June 2020. Prior to joining FundRock he served as legal counsel at GAM in London for 6 years. Marco has held legal roles at asset management, fund services and regulatory fund consulting industries in London and Luxembourg. He holds a Master in European Banking and Financial Law from the University of Luxembourg and Law Degree from the University of Coimbra.

Ruxandra joined FundRock in 2016 and currently holds the position of Risk & Compliance Deputy Director, covering Investment Compliance and ESG/SFDR. Prior to joining Fundrock, Ruxandra has gained experience within the banking sector during 10 years. Ruxandra holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Bucharest Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange (FABBV) and a Master’s Degree “DAFI Master of Financial Management and Investment”. She has been awarded the Certificate in ESG Investing by the CFA Institute.

Simon joined FundRock in November 2019 and is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of FundRock Partners in the UK. Simon has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years and has extensive knowledge of the European Funds market the Fund Services business. Simon has worked with clients internationally on business acquisitions, new fund structures and established outsourced service models. Prior to joining FundRock, he has held senior positions at Citi and JPMorgan within their Funds Services business and also for Threadneedle Asset Management where he held positions with Product Development and Operations.

Chris had previously worked for Close Fund Services for six years, during which time he reviewed and implemented new operational procedures leading to a more focused and risk-based approach on a broad range of funds. Reviews included the areas of pricing and risk, NAV production and dealing with fund advisors. Brett is the Managing Director of IP Management Company (RF) Pty Ltd, an authorised manager of a collective investment scheme in securities in South Africa. A chemical engineer by training, Brett made the move into financial services in 1999 and has been involved with the funds industry ever since, with more than 18 years’ experience in fund administration. He joined Peregrine Collective Investments (now IP Management Company) in 2007, as Director and COO, and was appointed Managing Director in 2010. Brett has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town (UCT), a B Com in Economics and Business Management from the University of South Africa and an MBA from UCT. Simon Sharrott is a Guernsey based investment professional with more than two decades of offshore industry experience. During these two decades of industry experience he has specialised in fund management, portfolio management, wealth management and private equity. Most recently, Simon served as Joint Managing Director and Group CEO at MitonOptimal Portfolio Management (CI) Ltd prior to its acquisition by the Ravenscroft Group in 2022. Following the acquisition, he continued with the Ravenscroft Group until April 2024, where he held the positions of Director and Portfolio Manager. During this tenure, he was an active member of both the Investment Management Committee and the Senior Executive Management Team. His responsibilities spanned across portfolio management, driving organic growth, overseeing strategic mergers and acquisitions, and managing key relationships with global distribution partners, institutional and professional investors, advisory firms, and family offices. Simon has comprehensive experience in senior leadership as a board director, he continues to be a non-executive director to several regulated investment vehicles. In 2022 he was named in the City Wire Top 100 Wealth Managers, in the UK. Simon is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments and holds a BA (Hons) in Business & Finance.

Arnold joined the upstart ARM Swiss Representatives SA (ASR) in January 2015 and has been integral to the growth and development of the company. ASR was acquired by the Apex Group in October 2021, and rebranded FundRock Switzerland SA in May 2022. A forward-thinking financial services expert, including collective investment schemes and Swiss regulations, he is a problem solver with sound judgement who has established business units and turned around teams in different jurisdictions. Switzerland is home but a significant portion of time was spent in other places, including the US, South Africa, and the UK. Elements of these different cultures blend together for a straightforward, pragmatic can-do attitude. Arnold has been employed in the financial services sector for 30+ years, including capital markets, corporate and investment banking, management consulting, and wealth management.

Stephen joined (FundRock/The Apex Group) in October 2021 following the acquisition of ARM Swiss Representatives SA (rebranded FundRock Switzerland SA) by the Apex Group. He has extensive experience in the financial service industry. His career began with Prudential Bache Intl Ltd in Dubai, he later established a Multi Family Office in Geneva, and held executive positions in others. Additionally, Stephen set up and managed an online portal for alternative investment managers to connect to Swiss investors and distributed actively niche alternative investment strategies. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Reading University and is a CAIA charter holder.

Elisa Sourmelis is Head of Risk & Compliance at FundRock Switzerland SA since May 2024. She joined the company in February 2022 working on compliance, regulatory and legal matters, notably in relation to collective investment schemes. Prior to joining the company, she worked in Brussels and Paris as an EU law and EU public affairs expert within business law firms, a consultancy, and the public sector (European Commission and services of the French Prime Minister). She was focusing on EU procedural matters as well as EU competition law and ESG topics. Elisa holds an LL.M. in EU Law from the College of Europe in Bruges. She also obtained a Bachelor and Master of Law from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. In July 2023, she graduated from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) with a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in compliance, focusing on financial services.

Matthew is the Senior Executive Officer of FundRock Investment Management Services (ME) Ltd.. He has relevant experience, having previously managed a third-party management company in South Africa, Cape Town which is also a FundRock entity. The management company was responsible for overseeing liquid, open-ended portfolios. Matthew also has risk management experience on portfolios white labelled on the management company platform. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, Financial Risk Manager Charterholder and Bachelor of Commerce undergraduate.

Arnaud joined FundRock in 2020 and is Managing Director of FundRock Distribution. He has more than 25 years of experience as an EMEA institutional business developer and relationship manager in London. Arnaud has had an extensive exposure to and knowledge of portfolio management, strategic asset allocation, LDI/CDI, capital market and Fintech. Prior to joining FundRock, he worked at Sumitomo Mitsui DS Asset Management where he was Head of European Business Development and Client Relations, and before worked at Insight Investment as a Sales director, Pareto Investment and Wellington Management International. Arnaud is a Swiss citizen and fully qualified CFA® charterholder.
